Primo Electrolyte

Complementary feed for domestic animals. Primo Electrolyte is recommended to be used after transport and in situations where the animal has diarrhoea.

Purpose

Electrolyte powder to replace water, salts and energy lost when the risk of diarrhoea increases at weaning or during transport.

Instructions for use

Fresh, clean Electrolyte solution can be given from clean drinking vessels or machines during diarrhoea and recuperation. Prepare Primo Electrolyte solution by adding 22 g (one dosage spoon) of Primo Electrolyte powder to one litre of fresh water.

A new mixture should be prepared daily, preferably twice a day.

We recommend that you consult with your veterinary for additional medicinal treatment.  

For piglets 1-5l/day/10 piglets during the suckling period and during weaning.

For transferred calves on the day of arrival 5 l solution. Change solution gradually to milk or milk replacer during the next 2-3 days.

In case of diarrhoea fresh, clean Primo Electrolyte solution can be offered freely. Feed calves without milk for one day and then replace the solution gradually to milk during the next 3 day. The solution is always given after milk or milk replacer. For weaned calves Primo Electrolyte solution can be given as such until the problem is over.

For race horses 3-5 l solution 2-3 times a day to replace salts and water lost through sweating. Remember to allow free access to clean water.
